Anybody from Southern Ontario, Canada?

I've recently just been given my orientation date to the Bariatric Surgical Program at the Wharton Medical Clinic in Hamilton, surgery will be performed at St. Joseph's hospital within the next 3-7 months. I'm hoping to get some success stories and comments/advice! Also, I would love to have a little support group of all my fellow southern Ontario pals!

Hi there!! I had the gastric sleeve done in Toronto.

Things have been going well post op. I had my surgery about 1.5 months ago. Definitely an takes time and patients to adjust eating habits but the weight has been just melting off. I've lost 20lb since the surgery and 40lb since the day I started my pre op diet.

I have PCOS, and have tried and failed to loose weight using medication, exercise, and healthy eating. I decided to have the gastric sleeve because it's been said to help women who have PCOS. I haven't had an ultrasound yet but I look forward to the day I do.

Hope this helps!!

Hi there Rebecca. Have you had your surgery yet? I had sleeve on Nov. 7 in Toronto (fee for service) and wait from consult until the surgery was only a month.
