October Sleever Here

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I'm new to this. A little about me. I had the LB in 2011 and then removed in 2014. When my S removed LB he prepped the area for the Sleeve. Now I have decided it was time and I've started my journey:) I live in MN but due to my employer and insurance I have to have the procedure in Kansas. So I'm doing all my prep stuff here. I have gone down to meet with Dr. Fearing once already and I have to go down 2 more times. 1 for preop and then 2nd for actual surgery. I just picked up my Vitamins and will start taking them now to allow my body to get use to them. I will write more soon! Any other October Sleevers?

I'm booked for October. I'm still to see the dietitian and surgeon in September but I needed to book the date early so I can give notice to my supervisor.

Pre-op in Australia 🇦🇺

I am October 20. I have looked into the sleeve multiple times over the last 4 years and finally made the decision to go for it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
