  6. What a great encouragement ! Thank you for sharing! [emoji813]️
  7. I promise it will get better!! Just a few more days and then every day will get better. It’s just part of the process, keep trying your water. I can’t say much about protein intake, because I wasn’t very good about drinking it, but the regret will pass as the days do. Keep your chin up, and just rest for now [emoji813]️
  8. I am 5 weeks post op and down 24 lbs. I was feeling great and back to normal within 3 weeks- except for food intake. Two week liquid post op protein diet was really tough, but once I was able to start soft foods, I haven’t had any trouble and feel back to normal - I can eat in public. A Couple of tablespoons at a time, whatever soft food I’m eating is all I can fit in. And of course my water. I would absolutely do it again.

  10. Hi ladies, at least I think they're all ladies in here. My apologies if there's a guy. I am six days postop, I cannot drink the protein shakes at all. Even with anti-nausea medication. I do fine getting my water in. And I can get a little bit of broth on occasion. But I am so weak. I'm supposed to be on a complete liquid diet for another 15 days. But I've read and watched some various posts and YouTube videos that people started their soft foods in week two. I was wondering if anybody had any information on waiting for the end of week three to start soft foods or what their thoughts are on starting a little bit earlier. Since I'm not getting any nutrition except from vitamins.
  11. Jackie, you're five weeks postop, and you still have trouble getting water down? What does your doctor say about that? Are you on any soft solid foods yet? Do you drink any protein shakes?

  13. On board here - sleeved 9/5
  14. I was sleeved 9-5 also. I cannot get my protein in at all. I do feel a bit weak, but can do my water with no problem. I've tried broth for the first time today, and it is so much better than trying to do the protein drinks. I tried my vitamins for the first time last night. It was a complete fail.
