It just shows up in topics. Unless you specifically look at the bottom you wouldn't notice. I didn't even know the OP was a guy asking. Simmah down there, no harm meant.

Quick update!!! Today I was cleared for things like eggs etc. I ate two eggs (with no difficulty whatsoever) and they were so heavenly. Is this what heaven feels like? [emoji23]

I look forward to meat no end... but I'm a bit baffled by why people are so keen to breadcrumb it and fry it. That'll help your weight loss no end.

I needed a good 12-15 months post ops before I could truly enjoy steak again. And beef and chicken are still my go too main sources of Protein, besides eggs. I was never a big seafood eater and I still am not. But I would say that about 49% of my protein is chicken, 25% pork (bacon/sausage/chops) and 25% (ground chuck/strip steak/tenderloin) and 1% beans/nuts/quionua sources.

On the mobile app it doesn't show which forum it's on. Plus I think our sleeves are gender neutral [emoji23]

Elk, ostritch, and buffalo when I can afford them. I was never a huge chicken fan and it seems to 'sit heavy' when I eat it so I don't do much of that. We do alot of shredded pork and beef pot roast though. Steak and tuna steaks also sits heavy, but I still eat it! Crab, lobster, and cod are my go to seafood choices. I can definitely get more of those down than beef or pork.

I love steak, but I've gotten to the point where I feel it's a huge waste. I can only eat about 2 ounces and I'm done. Usually, if I have a steak, I'll share it w/ my boyfriend. I always tell him "Be happy babe, I'm a cheap date". LOL! chicken, Ostrich, and fish/seafood are my go-to's. Since I can't drink while eating, as someone said, make sure whatever Protein you do eat, make sure it's very moist.

Steak is my go-to at most restaurants. It's usually portioned in such a way to let me take the rest home. I'll order carne asada a ot of places too and just leave the sides.

I have no problems eating steak! Medium Rare Filet, Marinated London Broil and flank steak are my favorites. I also eat pork, crab, and shrimp without any problems. I found chicken to sit very heavy in my stomach, especially in the beginning. It needs to be very moist or dipped in hummus, guacamole or salsa. It still is the Protein that makes me feel the restriction the most but I tolerate it much better now.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks post-op and afraid of chicken. I tried it twice (too early) and threw up one of those times. The other I just had really bad chest pain. Seems to be how my body says, "Don't eat that."

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
