Three Weeks Post Op Stall

Recommended Posts

I'm only about three and a half weeks post op and I'm already at a stall. I lost about 17 lbs in the first two weeks and now nothing. Is this typical?

Totally normal. I stalled for a week I'm 4 weeks. I think it had to do with eating more solid foods

Very typical. 3 week stall (Google it)
But if you take some measurements, you're likely shifting, losing inches during this time, so pat yourself on the back for a job well done!!!

I lost exaxtly 17 pounds as well and I thought I was stalling out, come to find out I was not getting enough fluids. Yesterday 7/22/17 was the FIRST TIME I got all 64 oz of Water in. If we don't drink enough it will slow us down. Today I already had my first 16 oz bottle of water and I am going to open up my 2nd one in a few minutes. Stay encouraged and make sure you are getting your Protein in.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
