Food Feels Like it is Stuck in Throat

I'm about 2 1/2 months post-op. I'm having the feeling like food is always stuck in my throat after I eat. Happens a lot with salmon, eggs, and other fish/meats. Sometimes, my voice will even sound a little weird when I talk (like something stuck in there). I'm going in tomorrow for an EGD to make sure my esophagus hasn't narrowed or there isn't a stricture (I know those or very rare with the sleeve). My doctor was concerned because he said at 2 months out eating shouldn't be a chore, yet I feel like it is. Don't get me wrong...I want to eat and have hunger, it's just miserable eating and I have that stuck feeling for about 40 minutes afterwards. Also, lots of belching after eating. Does anybody else have this issue? Did it get better over time?

Yes. I still get it 7 months out. I find I can not digest chicken. It's too dry. Chicken salad is okay. I also find if I eat too fast or don't chew my food enough, I get the stuck feeling. Try eating slower, chewing more, & taking smaller bites.
