I'll be doing a 2 week liquid diet but my surgeons office provides the shakes.

That's awesome that they cover the cost of the shakes I didnt ask and they didn't mention it. I'm going to call them on Tuesday. I just bought 2 things of preimer shakes because it was so much cheaper then the Bariatric Advantage. I'm trying to locate somw inexpensive liquid vitamins for the first month. Have you found any?

They don't cover the shakes unfortunately. They just require using what they supply which I pay for. I'm hoping to hear good news regarding my surgery on Tuesday.

I could use an online friend(s) too (I'm in NC)- my surgery is September 26th. I'm getting both excited and nervous! If anybody has Vitamin advice, I could also use them! I know Walmart sells liquid vitamins, but I'm not sure how good they are for surgery. I think it has alcohol in it to make them liquid.

I know that Centrum makes Vita-Mints that are melting- I just need to compare stats to make sure it has everything needed!

I did it!!! Gastric Bypass was done yesterday morning. Spent last night in hospital and tonight I'm in my own bed. I won't lie, there is some pain but seems to be well managed with meds. Getting in and out of bed is the worst! Any movement hurts but today it is better than yesterday and I'm hopeful that continues. I passed swallow test and was told that if I tolerate clears tomorrow I can add shakes to full liquid diet.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
