Well they are getting my discharge papers ready now, so looks like I will be going home in the next hour or so! Surgery went well and I have exceeded my liquid requirements. Still have some pain and swelling ( gas) in my stomach but that is to be expected ! I'm ready to get started on my weight loss journey[emoji3]

I am 5 days post op today. I'm still a bit sore/crampy. Having a hard time getting rid of the gas for some reason[emoji24] I have been walking and moving around as tolerated. I am getting my liquids in ( plus some), I need to work harder on getting the protein in.

Glad things went well. I hear it's a slow process before you can get enough protein in. Get lots of rest. I will have my surgery first of Sept., sooner if they have a cancellation.

So quick question...were you able to start taking gas-ex immediately following surgery?
