Best way to disolve whey powder in liquids

Recommended Posts

Hi folks... I am 12 days out from surgery and using GENEPRO powder. I am having problems with it clumping. I am only doing 5 oz of broth, Tomato Soup etc and I mix it in a cup. Any suggestions ?

if the liquid is too hot it will clump up.

I stirred it in at room temperature and then put it in the microwave. But even then, I could only get it so warm before it would clump up. This made it do-able at least. (And I always kept in mind that the liquid stage wouldn't be forever...)

yeah most of those Protein powders turn Gummy at 140 or above. I usually microwave the food or drink, then use thermometer and add powder once its below 140.

Yup what he said. You have to get it below 140 or else the Protein will begin to clump/gummy up and it won't be all that tasty at that point.

You might want to search genpro on this forum. It's a controversial product that may not have as much Protein as they claim. Many surgeons (including mine) don't approve it as a Protein Drink after surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
