Well an update...but still more drama than I want to deal with...

They (U of M) hospital turned in paperwork to my insurance company to get the revisions paid for, but of course it took forever. AND why would my insurance company pay for it when the Dr was clearly at fault. SO, now the revisions have to go before a committee to be approved by them, since it is the Dr's fault and the hospital will have to pick up the slack.

I was told that there is no way I will be able to get surgery this year. I am more than angry. I don't even know where to start bitching with them. I am ready to throw up my hands and get an attorney.

I haven't been around much since late spring, and I am so sorry for missing a lot of what has been going on with you.

I do check in on occasion, and just wanted to say, it is times like the one you describe above that I am embarrassed to say that I work for UM. I didn't realize how bad their customer service could be at times until I experienced it myself with my mother's hospitalization this spring.

Once upon a time I would have said (from having been in that system for over 19 years) to call patient relations and then risk management (if you haven't already). But I've been there and done that. I got the requisite form letter from risk management that they would be looking into my complaint, but then nothing...

As much as it pains you to do it, and as hesitant as you are (which I TOTALLY understand) to ruffle feathers there, I'd ruffle some with an attorney's help.

One more suggestion, can you have someone else do the reconstruction if you are concerned about treatment by Dr. K? I'd suggest looking into Cederna if that's an option. Alderman does great breasts, so she's an option, too.

Again I'm soooo sorry about this roller coaster you've been on.

Luv to you and yours!

Faith-- I was told Dr K has to be the one to do it. I can not get anyone up there to call me back, and I am beyond pissed off now. I will be taking a drive up there next week I believe. I am sick of it all.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys I need it, this has caused more stress than I ever deserved. Blah...

Hello all!

I wanted to post an update for all of you.

After fussing, fighting and yelling I FINALLY got my revision a year after my initial surgery.

It was on the 2nd. Surgery itself went well. I was in surgery at 7 am.

They did a full revision on the Tummy Tuck. They cut off about another 2 to 3" off the tummy. So far it looks nice.

The breasts got the full revision as well. They did the the full cut on the bottom of both breasts. They moved the nipple only on the left breast. They look NICE right now I am VERY happy. They are nice and perky! YAY! :)

I am waiting now for a call from the Dr. I have a fever and feel horrible. Hopefully it is just the flu.....

BBK, are you going to put up new pics on makemeheal that youve had your revision? I only see your pics before your revision surgery where you were having problems. Id like to see how it turned out when he fixed them. Are you happy with everything now?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
