No Negative Comments! Did anyone cheat during Pre op

I kinda cheated because I got approved so fast that I didn't have a two week pre-op diet so I made sure I had my last meal because I put myself in a position where I would be ok...and I don't regret it and don't care if someone says different because everyone body is different.

Thank you so much for ur honesty. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

It's all good I've been to a few restaurants in the last few days...Took my mom to red lobster and all I had was a strawberry lemonade and 3 shrimp pot stickers (only ate a half of one) but getting out and having willpower makes me stronger and I'll order something small just to give it away because I'm enjoying being somewhere that I used to go and smash a big meal LOL

She wasn't asking a question with a question she was simply stating that there is a lot more to your question that maybe you might want to rethink, I mean why go through all this if we can't maintain and control our diets. Maybe you should get some help from some of the many support groups. She had some good points and you shouldn't take people's advise so critically we are just trying to help each other out on this website we have enough people putting us down because we're overweight, let alone we hit on each other.

Sent from my N9519 using BariatricPal mobile app

I am sorry I disagree, there was no helping in her statement.

When I first got my lap band I don't think the diet was quite like this at least then I could at least eat one solid semi healthy meal. Are there any like Protein Drink combinations mixed with something that you found that you like because I am having a hard time finding something that isn't horrible.

Ok well now that I've been cursed at for simply suggesting the poster think about what's behind her post, I guess I will answer the question. And note my original reply wasn't meant to be negative.

Your question is "did anyone cheat" during their pre op diet.

Yes, of course some people did.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
