Has anyone popped a stitch?

Today as I sat down I felt a huge "POP" around the large incision on the bottom left side of my belly. The incision site once had a large dimple around it but after the "pop" the dimple is gone. It didn't really hurt when it happened but scared the crackers out of me! I thought my intestines were going to fall out!! My doc says not to worry about it if I'm not in any severe pain. I don't know I'm still pretty freaked out.....

Sounds like a simple detachment, had similar with gallbladder and it quite litterly felt like an elastic band snapping back under the skin. What I was told is that it's fine as long as no pain or burning around incision, of there is any sign of fever or severe discomfort then get checked asap
