I'm happy for the no meds for diabetes!!! That's awesome hon. I also have no idea on calories. My doc/nut don't do calorie based. They want us to learn to listen to our bodies and of course make the good choices in what we eat.

I guess I will ask my nut. I feel like I need some kind of guide line to follow because I definitely don't trust myself. My biggest problem was Portion Control before surgery.

Portion Control will get ya. I had a problem with quality, not quantity. In fact, my doc was always on to me for not eating enough. Go figure. It's true, you can gain weight from not eating enough, but absolutely the wrong foods!!! Whatever helps you, I'm here for ya!

I've had a blah day diet wise today too. I really want some good tasting broth but have yet to find any. The hospital broth was the best I've had so far. Funny huh?

My dh and I went to a Peruvian restaurant today and I had some very delicious chicken Soup broth while he had ceviche. Of course I was only able to eat a small amount , but I have my snack for later. I really think the only way to get good broth is to make it yourself or buy some that is homemade.

I am way behind on posts this afternoon. We walked about 2.5 miles today on Mission and Pacific beach. I really think I need to slow down a little. I feel fine, but I am worried I will over do it and pay for it later. Well I have all next week off from work so I will take things a little slower once I get home tomorrow.

I'm feeling extremely tired today. My mom left this morning to go back home, so maybe it's just that combined with my body recovering. I'm having a really hard time with my Protein. I just hate the Protein Shakes so much. I'm just kind of blah today. Tomorrow will be better.

Just take things one day at a time. I figure we will all have days where we feel like we are taking one step forward and two back. I haven't even started in Protein Shakes yet, that will be Monday for me. It seems like most people get sick of them pretty quick. I truly pray you have better day tomorrow. 😊

I'm craving guacamole!!

I love guac and I definitely plan to have it once I get to that stage. I haven't had a craving yet, but I know it is coming. I was feeling more real hunger today.

So, a friend swung by to visit me today. First thing she says is "your face is getting slimmer". I say "seriously, really?" It hasn't been that long at all! But for someone who hasn't seen me for a couple of weeks, I'll take that compliment. 😊

That is awesome. People always notice my weight loss in my face also.

I'm with you on taking compliments. You deserve it.

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to you guys! It's so helpful to have other people who you can share frustrations with and can understand what you are going through. Tomorrow is a new day for us all, and I know we will keep getting better!

I will have to agree. Unfortunately, no kitchen for me to work in currently. There just isn't a win at this point. But, I think I'll get some from a restaurant tomorrow perhaps. We'll see. That looks delicious btw!! Yum.

Wow. That's a long walk. You did it though! That's awesome. But I agree with you, take things slower once you're home. At least you've got to get a vacation out of all this, eh!? Lol

I don't like mashed potatoes, but if I could, I'd eat mashed potatoes now!!! lol. The craving to eat has been pretty hard today. I keep telling myself, just one more day, then I get to have cream of wheat, refried Beans, fish, shrimp, and good creamy Soup. Can't wait!!!

I'm so sorry @Newme17 it was the battle of Protein Shakes talking. I am so happy you will be advancing. (psst take me with you). You go girl.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
