Im a little confused is that 8oz of meat n side salad or just 8oz of food plus a side salad for dinner. Anyone have a similar diet pre op?

I read that as 8oz meat AND a small salad.

looks like it says meal and not meat. I was thinking on another page it gave u healthy meal options.

That's confusing....what is an 8oz meal? 8oz is about a cup of food....but what type? I would call the nutritionist to get clarification. Good luck.

It looks common for those allowed to actually eat in the pre-op phase (I was liquids only for 2 weeks). Typically they want you to eat a lean protein source for that meal, so ideally something like chicken with your salad or veggies.

Hi, today I begin my pre op dieting and my dietitian said 2 protein shakes and 1 meal of 4 oz of a lean protein and vegetables. Only sugar free jello or Popsicle in-between meals. If anything, call your bariatric office and ask them what exactly does that mean.
