Hello, i am 10 days post op and i have a severe burning/pulling sensation to the left of my belly button. Started yesterday but wasnt so bad then today i moved and cried out with pain. Its very sore and when i just sat back i had to get my partner to help me up because i couldnt move? Anyone had this before? Should i go back to the doctors? Ive not had hardly any pain at all after my surgery except the first day which was the worst day of my life. The pain so so strong i could barely breath without crying. Had pain for about 2-3 days then nothing untill yesterday with this burning/pulling pain? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. X

I'm pre op, but have had a few abdominal surgeries in my life. The pulling/burning pain can be from sutures pulling due to healing in your belly. I'm not a doctor and this may or may not be what you are feeling. I do think you should call your surgeon to find out if this is ok or something that could be harmful.
If you are still having this pain, I suggest you put a call into your doctor. Even though it is Saturday, someone is always on call due to things like this. You may just get the answering service, but tell them you need the on call doctor to call you back ASAP. You don't want to wait on this. It may be nothing, but better to be safe than sorry.
Call them and keep us posted! I hope you are better soon.

Good. You're best bet is to get to your doctor. You could have torn a muscle or could be starting with an infection. There are many things it could be. If you are unable to talk to your doctor, you may want to go to the hospital- especially if this pain won't subside or gets worse.

Good luck to you! I hope you're better soon!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
