I'm 66 and had my op on Jan 12th - exactly 14 weeks today - have any of you who are around my age experienced stalling? It's really getting me down now - hardly eating anything either!!

Trying not to harp on the number as you're probably losing inches and the scale will catch up. Keep moving and doing the right things. I'm 60 also

I recently had surgery and haven't stalled yet, but what I've read on this site to unblock a stall is to increase quality Protein & fluids, especially if you're not consuming the minimum amounts. Good luck!

I'm 57. A little more than a year post gb/rny. I stall all the time. I'm 150 down. I bounce 4 lbs in a single day, but this past month I've been about the same but I know I'm generally losing because it's generally going down. Maybe I don't eat more than 1500 calories a day, so now when I lose 1 lbs it's a bigger percentage than it was 150 lbs ago.
Give your body some time to adjust. Mine was all out of whack for three months. Too many old meds I used to take weren't helping. I take nothing now. Diabetes shots and pills, cholesterol, blood pressure - - all gone. That was my main objective. I didn't care if I lost a pound, just a fringe benefit. I also had a bout of low sodium, at the time the hospital doc said it was from drinking too much Water. But I was dehydrated a few weeks before that. Body was just adjusting.

I'm 66, had my surgery Nov 28, 2016. I've list 56 lbs, I'm losing 1-2 lbs week now which is fine by me. Looking at the whole picture I'm very happy with 56lbs in 6 months. Only have 22 too!

Just keep following the plan, don't focus on lbs because it will happen! I'd say if you do not lose any weight for2 weeks you should call your Dr.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
