Some of the guys that my husband worked with about 5 years ago asked when he divorced his first wife, and how he managed to hook such a cute little thing (they thought I was no more than 20 years old)

That was pretty cool.

I have 5 punds to go until goal weight and I constantly look in the mirror and think what a fat a@@ then, I remember...I'm not fat anymore!!! I was doing that just this morning and my boyfriend said baby you are not big....just look at yourself! I think I must have some type of - what's it called - body dismorphic disorder, anyway, my point here being - he told me i was "AVERAGE" size. That was the best feeling ever!!! lol.

Hmm....I think what means the most to me is when I have other bandsters tell me that I'm their inspiration. It's a lot to live up to, so maybe it'll help keep me in line a little bit!

But, I also had a special "compliment" while I was driving down the highway. I was slowly passing a car, and I hear a loud whistle. I glanced over, and there are 3 young men in the car, one hanging out the back window, yelled, "Hey mama, you lookin' hot!" LOL I got past them, and out of sight before I pulled down the mirror to take a glance and say to myself, "I do??!!....yeah. I do."

:faint: I just got the most unexpected compliment of my life last night. On my way out for dinner last night I saw a neighbor I hadn't seen for a few months putting his Christmas lights out with his children. When I went over to say hi he looked confused at first then said "OMG is that you? I was starting to think your husband had traded you in for a new wife. If you hadn't come over to talk I would have never recognized you." He even made one of his kids run in to get his wife to come out and take a closer look at the "new" me.

The only thing that ruined the moment for me was realizing after I got in the car that I had stepped in his dogs fresh poo and was now both late and stinky for my dinner appointment. But it was all good for a compliment like that.

I had the best week ever! I went to Cali on a business trip. People who haven't seen me in a year, did not recognize me. Most people, I mean 90% had no idea who I was. Of course that felt great, but there was one compliment that stood out...

"She looks great now, but of course we loved her before" my friend Chris told his friend who couldn't stop talking about how much I had lost.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
