HELP WITH PROTEIN!!!

I am having a hard time getting my protein in... I've been cleared to the puree stage as of Thursday but the only thing I've eaten is refried beans. I'm still trying to get my water in but not doing well with eating. I can't find anything that's high in protein that I like. My protein drinks are starting to make me nauseous plus my surgeon wants me to ween off of them. What else can I get protein from???

Scrambled egg, maybe a little melted cheese on it, cottage cheese, pureed tuna, or chicken, add a little light mayo or light ranch, and a little pickle juice to make it taste like tuna or chicken salad. I too, had trouble through that time with getting tired of the same thing over and over, but it won't be forever.

I tried scrambled eggs and it was pretty good and went down easily. As for the tuna I have some in the pack that I'm gonna try, but do I HAVE TO puree it?? That's my issue I think, eating food that's all smashed and mixed together. Also, can u do boiled eggs??

Ask your doctor, but many people can handle tuna with some light mayo or greek yogurt in the puree stage without whizzing it up if they chew very thoroughly :)
