ShilohD I can't wait for that to happen to me!!!! I'm 303lbs and just have one more weigh-in this coming Saturday before scheduling my surgery. I haven't seen 250lbs in about 20 years and haven't seen under 200lbs in about 30years. I will lose my shit the day I enter Onederland! For sure lol!!!

I hope Saturday will be your day! You deserve it! Don't lose faith! This is gonna work!

I feel your joy and congrats[emoji106]🏾 I have a similar experience as you I just couldn't break the 300 lb mark before surgery I weighed 330 lbs. I had surgery on February 20th in five weeks I lost 37lbs. But now I'm stuck in a plateau! I'm not sure when I'm going to see the scale change again the first four weeks each day I was a pound or 2 lighter but this past week and a half no change. Everyday I weight myself now it's the same. I am praying now to get out of the 290's and enter into the 280's and beyond. Anybody has advice on the Plateau and how to jump start the weight lost again? I wanna keep the happy dance going too[emoji847]

I know to some, this might even seem silly... but for several years, I've been over 300 lbs. Before I even decided on this route, I'd been trying every damn diet i could think of to lose weight. I remember 3 times, or got down to the verge of getting under 300 lbs. But I never could quite tip the scale. I'd teeter totter on the edge, but never made it under.
The day I started the pre-op diet, I was 333.6 lbs. March 6th, the day of surgery, I was 310.2
Today, I weighed, and I am 298.0
I realize it's just 35 lbs and I still have a long road, but I cried. I haven't seen less than 300 lbs on the scale in over 3 years.
I'm so grateful. For the first time, I actually feel like I got this. And I am so glad for this app. I just had to share my joy with someone. I felt like I was about to pop.

Congrats!!! Totally. It silly- you're doing it!!!!

Apparently there's a 3 week stall. Just keep doing the Protein and you'll see movement on the scale. I was shocked that I hit a plateau with as little as I was eating- and exercising - but it's normal.

That is a great accomplishment! Don't ever think reaching a goal is silly. All that matters is that you are happy with your progress. Congratulations and up the good work!

This is how I feel! Always teetered between 194-200. I'll cry when I see 189, congrats!

Thanks! I'm actually a bit stunned at how fast it's coming off. My husband looked at me yesterday and started laughing ( now, he has always told me he loves me regardless of my size.)

When I asked him why he was laughing, he told me, he could tell I was really losing weight because for the first time in a LONG time my breasts stuck out further than my stomach. I had to start laughing too, because it was true. I looked down at myself and my stomach was not visible...

You notice the craziest things... that may have been TOO MUCH INFO.... but I thought it was funny.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
