THANk GOODNESS! I'm message you!! And I've been thinking I'd do the same. Mine is only 1 weeks so I'm gonna ease myself into it but slowly adding one meal in every week that's liquid only. So this week, Breakfast is my liquid next week, breakfast and lunch!

Please include me as your buddies!! My RNY is scheduled for May 18th in Chicago. I started easing into my liquid diet also & lost 16lbs in a month. I started with a hp shake for breakfast & 2 lean meals per day. After 1 week, I went to 2 hp shakes & 1 meal.

My pre-op consult was pushed out to May 9th. Looking at a surgery the week of May 22nd, but won't know for sure until the 9th.
I was so disheartened this morning when I couldn't go to my consult today. I literal got ill from it. I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon, but I didn't turn to food. Now I have resigned myself to it and I am wondering who will be having sleeves then too.

What a bummer! I'm glad you have a date but it would be hard to have things change on you last minute. Best of luck!

It is, but now I can see that basically crap happens all the time. How we handle it has to change now instead of turning to food. Thank you for the support. It's wonderful to have people who also share this journey.

Mine was switched from 4/12/16 to 5/17/17 because my Insurance took so long to approve me. I was upset at first then I realized that I'm still approved and my journey will continue.

I definitely feel more prepared. I've bought all of my Vitamins and all of my other items on my list now. I'll be packing my bag next week.

My surgery is May 1st. On day 7 of the pre op liquid diet. I am excited and terrified all at once! Ive never had surgery of any kind before so pretty freaked out.

How's the liquid diet going? I start mine Monday.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
