Hi all--I was just sleeved on march 21st. Surgery went well and I am home recouping. I am supposed to be on Clear Liquids until the 28th and see my surgeon on the 29th.

I can't tolerate the Protein Powder. I've tried two different kinds in my drinks and all it does is run right through me and give me gas and diarrhea. Sorry for tmi...

Isopure drinks make me want to vomit.

I would call my surgeon and ask but it might take forever for a call back. I feel very tired and weak.

Does any one have any other suggestions? I did pour about four oz of fairlife milk--the one with less carbs and more Protein and have yet to have about two oz of it. So far have tolerated it okay. I know it's not clears, but does any one else know what I can try?

Thank you!!

I haven't had surgery yet but are you just drinking 1 ounce at a time? My doc's office recommends Premier Protein . I have been having that for a couple months now prior to surgery and I like it but who knows if I can tolerate it after surgery. They said to try to have one of those throughout the day starting on day three after the surgery. I hope things get better for you soon! I am sure someone with some experience will respond to this post with some good info for you.

Call your doctor now. You'll never get a call back if you don't place the call. I couldn't tolerate any powder, but I do fine with the ready made Premier Protein shakes. I was sleeved on 3/1 and have been drinking 2 a day with no problem since 3/2.

I am 14 day post op.
I have been drinking six star chocolate
Isolate whey Protein Powder.
I mix with Water or almond milk.
I am lactose intolerance.
It did give me gas the 1st week.i would take GAS X the start of day and walk around and that help me.
NOW i have no problem with gas when drinking it or mixing with Yogurt.
Maybe because the gas issue is gone from surgery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
