Ahh. I feel like I am doing terrible. My job is crazy right now. I felt like I was in a dream world at the beginning of the school year. I had all this time, the kids were great and turning in work, no meetings, and now ...BAM all at once it seems like I am working 16 hours a day. In fact yesterday, I got to work at 5:15AM and went to bed at 8:30 pm and during that entire duration, I worked all but the half hour that I exercised, and even then I was reading essay questions. So needless to say, I am not working out as much as I want. Fortunately I am one of the lucky ones that is not hungry and am losing weight by being on my feet all day and not eating.

Oh Salsa, I remember those days of never having a moment to myself. You're doing great and the fact that you're finding any time to exercise is amazing. My youngest is away at college and I have more time for me than I've ever had. I'm the one with no excuse for not getting in my exercise.

Today was one month since starting at Curves. I was weighed and measured. I have lost 10 lbs and 12 inches in the last month. :whoo:

I am going to try and start that tomorrow. There is a thread about it on the exercise board. Anyone else in?

I am so upset because my gym cancelled all evening h2o aerobics classes because there wasn't enough attendance. However, there were few enough that everyone could move around the way you are supposed to. Oh well, just laps then!

Hi all, I did the 5k walk for breast cancer research today. :clap2: I'm feeling surprisingly well. Just a little tightness in my calf. Let's see how I feel tomorrow! I've been doing the eliptical and the stationary bike at least 4 x's a week. I get my first fill tomorrow! I'lltalk to you guys after that!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
