Mandy, that's not fair, y'all sent an ape after me when I was missing, LOL.

You had been gone too long for the monkies. They have bad memories, and had forgotten what you looked like. Also you could bribe them with bananas, the apes were needed in your case. ~Mandy

Good Morning Y'all!

Kat - You know we are all there with you! Try not to worry too much, I know it's hard to do because we always think of the worst in our minds. You have the best of the best standing beside you holding your hand and sending up prayers!

Good Morning to the rest of y'all!

I have been away TOO LONG! I can't believe my eyes, Kat. I stopped what I was doing and said a prayer for the best outcome for you, and your healing. You have sisters around the country pulling for you, and I hope that brings you some strength or comfort. PLEASE, post when you know something.

Diane, it is very nice to meet you. A freind of Pat's is a friend of ours! It will be very nice to walk with you as you begin your banded journey...please remember we have all been where you are now, and, at least in this group, the band has been a genuine life-changer. For me, I have not reached the "goal" that was chosen at the beginning, but where I am now, I am happy with. Truly, it was the start of a "new me" like you said. So, welcome and it's nice to have you join in the fun!

Guess what I've been doing....awww, ya'll always guess right! I never do anything else! Volunteer stuff with DD's school...shopping for the pumpkin Fest...planning Grandparent's Tea...organizing teacher appreciation stuff...it never ends! Then, DD is going to the human sexuality workshop at church this weekend, and that involves a parent orientation tonight, so I'm going to that. Then I take her to the workshop tomorrow night and Saturday...and DH and I go with her on Sunday afternoon...then we are having her family birthday party (she'll be 10! on the 21st) that afternoon. I'm making both my sister's (she'll be 50 on the 18th) and DD's cakes for that. My planner looks like I'm planning some kind of secret military invasion! Crazy. So, I'm having a good time, but time gets away from me, and when I come back in here to check on my pals, I find out Kat is having a real medical issue.

So, I'll check back on here late tonight, and see what is up with you girls.

Hugs all around, big ones!

Cindy

:ranger: Hey Guys,

Sorry for being MIA, but because of the spyware and my computer virus it takes 20min to log on. I just want to tell you that I'm hanging in.

Since my meltdown with my ex I started eating and discovered that I can eat lots. I get uncomfortable quickly and then I quit. I was baking Cookies, key lime bars, apple crisps, tamale pies -- MAJOR food PORN.

Depression makes me cook -- weird. I put the brakes on and started on the shakes again. I returned to my 1st passion -- Disneyland and have been there twice..... walked miles...... won a dream pass for all the rides and I have lost 2 pounds. Yesterday I was denied unemployment and I'm OK with that. Money is tight, but with creative cooking and uncomplaining kids I can work miracles. Thank the Lord, I have already most of my Christmas gifts hidden. Over-planning has it's benefits. Miss you guys and I'm trying to figure out how to clean my hard drive so that my computer is back to normal. Tonight I go to my divorce class and I admit, I should have gone back sooner. I also have met with my counselor/life coach and she gives homework! I'm feeling better everyday.

Tomorrow I get to volunteer in Lewis' class.... and he's thrilled. This will keep me from eating and focus on something positive. Just glad I can stop by and update you all on my progress. Hugs,

UGH I am soooo nervous...I finished or I think I finished all of my requirments so that I can get approved for the band. I did my nutritionist consult and one last blood test that I didnt have done this week and I have my first consult with the surgeon on Oct 17th and I am sooooo worried. I dont want to get my hopes up but I really hope that I have everything done that I need so that the paperwork can be submitted when I have my visit and I can then I just have to wait for the lovely insurance company to approve :-) or deny :-( me. I would really like to have my surgery at the end of Nov when my best friend will be home from Poland for a couple of days and it would be GREAT to have her support - so far really only my mom is aware of exactly where I stand with the surgery and while she supports me its not the same as someone that is in the same boat as you are supporting you. I dont see why I would get denied but hey you never know. so until then I will just sit back NOT patiently and twiddle my thumbs.

well that is my little rant for the day as I take a mini break from that piles of work papers on my desk.

I hope everyone is having a great day and Kat please keep us posted on your test!!

sorry to hear about your being denied for unemployment. can you appeal the denial? I know here in NJ they mostly give it to you eventurally even if you are fired they say you cant collect but in reality they just make you wait 5 weeks until you can actually collect - I guess the feel like in that five weeks you will give up and find a job.

Patty, you have to go back to the ticker site and create a new ticker. Then you login to your lbt profile and delete the old ticker, then paste the new one in it's place. When you click save signature it will magically put the new ticker in each and every post.About the spywear download this program and run it daily until the problem is gone, then at least once a week to prevent it from happening again. It's a free program and works really well.

oh man am I sick to my stomach!! :cry not only did I eat a 1/2 kilo burrito - I dont even want to know how much that equals in pounds - but BEFORE that I was baking chocolate chip Cookies and being the true fatty that I am of course I ate some of the raw cookie dough and THEN of course I ate 2 cookies or maybe one. I honestly cant remember how many I had but definitely not more then 2 :omg: but anyway now I am sick to my stomach and I have only myself to blame :think

I thought baking the cookies would keep me from the snacking that I have been having trouble with this week. I went to the nutritionist the other day and she suggested some things for me to try and I vowed that I would but - there is always a but - I have had the past few nights off of my second job so I have been home on the couch and having a hard time fighting the urge to eat the Snacks. so everyone at my first job has been asking me to make cookies - they are the best :) - so I figured I would keep myself busy and the snacks out of my mouth...well dang nab it that didnt work!!! :cry

sorry for the rant...again!!! seeing as it is 3:30am in Poland I dont have anyone to talk to when I am feeling down and sometimes it helps to just write it and get it out of my system. feel free to just ignore my rants as most of it is just babble

Jessica, I didn't know you were in Poland. My husbands family is polish/german and french Canadian. My sisters in-laws are lithuanian. (sp?) I live in Chicago, there are more Polish people here than in Warsaw Poland. I love it, we can always get good Polish food. ~Mandy

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
