Band to Sleeve - Gaining Weight Back

Hello everyone had my lap band done back in Nov 2010 and lost about 45 lbs. Then I started gaining weight back bc I was doing much of anything but relying on the band. I gained 20lbs back and then decided to convert to the sleeve like a year ago. I again lost 20lbs in about a year and now I'm gaining weight again... I don't seem to have any restriction at all and my cravings for food are 100% back like it was before I even got the lap band. Please tell me there is something I can do to get these cravings to go away. I'm like gaining 2 lbs each week... help!

my nurse practitioner had me give up all liquid protein shakes, yogurt, hummus, etc. and only eat foods like chicken breast and hamburger patties -- anything that takes more effort to eat. i also am making sure not to drink 30 minutes before and after eating. i find that this has helped my portion control, and i'm back to losing again -- slow but steady.

Yes if u are not using sleeve as tool it will not work for you

I recently realized that I was not chewing my food as well as I did when I had band. I also realized that I was eating my meals too fast. Once I started chewing and slowing down and putting my fork down in between bites, I discovered what satiety was again. I'm starting to lose again, slowly, but it's happening. If your cravings for sweets is back, I would go on the Adkins induction stage for a week or so and get off the carb/sugar addiction. Hope this helps. jake
