Hi everyone,
I am really excited about this whole process and journey i am about to start, however, my nerves are beginning to get the best of me. I have a primary insurance of healthfirst with secondary insurance of medicaid, As per my PCP guidance, I have been working with her every month to document food and attempt of weightloss since healthfirst requires a 6 month "attempt" before submitting a request for the gastric sleeve surgery, and a BMI of 40% or higher . My pre-op appointment is march 14, that is when i will see the nutristionist and turn in all my paperwork (endoscopy, med journal, psych eval, PCP recommendation letter etc). This is my first time in my adult life ever doing something like this so I am nervous about the outcome. Is there anyone else in my shoes whose had obamacare (if its still called that) and gone through the approval process that can give me some wise words? I appreciate any and all comments.
thanks!!
