Protein malabsorption?

OK that sounds better. All the info I've read said 80-100. Which didn't seem right to me since that's what I was told with my sleeve. Has that amount kept your lab Lvls good?

Yes.

And it permits me to eat constantly. I generally eat Protein every couple of hours. Sometimes at 3AM, too, if I'm hungry.

I had a Traditional DS but my surgeons left the length of a modified, about 9 ft. I have pretty regular morning bowel movements. I take a tablespoon of castor oil if my eating has been on point, so it moves easily. If I have sugar, i do get faul gas and an oil slick loose bm...so, I don't do it often and know I'll be home, alone, near the bathroom. Never trusting a fart. I usually always have one premier Protein shake 28g or a myprotein 30g chocolate cookie. I aim for 80g a day in diet, so I probably get 110 a day. My 3 month labs were perfect.

Ty for the reply. How has your weight loss been with the modified DS length?

Great! 219 lbs, day of surgery- 11/7/16,, today, 3/6/17, 16 weeks later 173lbs. My goal, at 5'7", is 150-155lbs, so about 20 more to go!

Not to be a downer, at all. Just remember he's a man. Their loss rate/amount is often different than ours.

LOL, no worries, I have no disillusions about losing that fast. I'm a slow loser anyways. Thanks for the warning tho.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
