Hello everyone my revision from sleeve to RNY was April 11th. Everything went well. Pain was controlled very well. At no point was it intolerable. I came home Thursday evening. My biggest problem is gas. My stomach and back is filled with gas and nothing's moving it. I've been walking taking gas-x using heating pad. Nothing is working. Just sent my hubby to the drug store to grab mylacon drops and hope maybe that will help. Any suggestions on the gas?. Silly me put on a sports bra to go to the store to grab Protein Water and the darn sports bra ripped the glue right out of the incision between my breast. It look like it will be ok but I asked my hunny to grab some steri strips as well. I don't know what the heck I was thinking. Thought since it wasn't a wire it would be ok.

Did anyone else put on a ton of weight from all the Iv fluids and gas? I came on 11lbs heavier than what I weighed in the hospital the afternoon of surgery.

Glad you're up & moving! The gas was crucial for me too...it works its way out eventually!

I am on day 5 of my 10 day/800 calorie/liquid diet and thankfully doing ok. My surgery is 4/21... aside from the liquid and puréed foods what recommendations do any of you who are already post surgery suggest pick up to have for when I get home from the hospital?

@cdevine1 congrats on your upcoming surgery. I suggest having all your Vitamins couple different Protein powders, sf gello, sf popsicles, and whatever else is on your list of can eat the first week after surgery. I suggest not buying too much because our taste buds tend to change after surgery but do have at least a week worth of what you need awaiting you when you arrive home from the hospital. There's a young lady on here who's surgeon recommend a month supply on hand when you come home from the hospital But that will be your personal preference of how much.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
