I am 3 weeks post op as well. I seem to be in a stall as well. It is disheartening. :(

It totally is.. but I am happy to know that it's just not me then. I keep thinking because they have moved me on to soft solid foods.. fingers crossed.. (for both of us) ;)

Stalls are perfectly normal. It happens to almost everybody and it's very common if you've read some of the post about stalls here that the 3 week mark is when a lot of people stall.... including myself. I stalled after week 2 and didn't lost anything for almost 2 weeks.

Your body just went through major surgery, is getting used to the weight loss and changes that are going on with you.

Most likely this will not be the first or last time that you stall. Don't get discouraged or down about it, be happy with what you have already lost and in knowing that if you stick to your plan, get your Protein and liquids in everyday.... you will see the scale move again very soon.

I'm at a stand still too for almost a week (post op 18 days). Very discouraging!

Week 5 I came to a screeching halt. Haven't lost anything all of week 6. I weigh once a week so it was a bit of a shock. Thankful for this support board and it gives me confidence that I'll move past yet another phase in my journey.

I was so glad to hear this. I had lost 30 lbs in the first 3 weeks, but then nothing, event 1/2 lb gain! Very disappointing and depressing. Also, since starting on regular food, I feel like I'm retaining Water and not moving my bowls as often. In trying to get all my Protein in, I feel like I'm eating all the time and felt that was the reason for the stall.

I too feel your pain. I lost 24 pounds in two weeks. Then nothing for almost a week. Now I seem to be losing again at 1/4 to 1/2 pound a day. I gather that some people are starting soft foods in or after the third week. My instructions say Clear Liquids for two weeks then parade foods for the next four. I was thankful to get off the clear liquids. I am really struggling forcing myself to put good food in the blender I never realize presentation and textures are so important.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
