Group nutrition appointment?? Cary, North Carolina

So I'm all set with my pre op appointments. I'm just unsure about one thing. I am really shy and I have been this way all my life. So with things like first days of school and GROUP MEETINGS I get a little nervous about. I guess my question here is what can I expect in this group appointment? Will I have to share my weight and health information out loud? Will i be doing any talking? I would much rather speak to a nutritionist one on one for comfortability, but this is what my insurance requires. If any one has done it in the Cary, North Carolina office that is a plus, but any experience helps. :)

I had my sleeve done on Jan 18th at UNC. The only group meeting I had to be in was with the nutritionist explaining the diet. There were only about 10 people in my group. We only had talk if we wanted to or had questions. It's really not bad because everyone is trying to take the same journey. I wish you luck.

Thank you so much. That's very relieving and helpful. Do you remember where the group was held?

In those meeting if you don't want to talk I don't think you would have to. It does help to listen to others tho. Good Luck on your journey. You can do this and when you reach your goal, I bet you will be talking to lots of new friends. After my 100 lb weight loss I feel so much better, you will too. Keep us posted.
