LOVE YOURSELF VALENTINES CHALLENGE

Recommended Posts

Current weight 182. A gain. Yuck. I find that I stay the same for weeks, then lose 2 pounds, then gain 1, then stay the same, then lose 2, then gain 1, repeat. Oh well.

Today is a big day. I finally hit 30 pounds lost after surgery! I'm 9 weeks post op. I'm such a slow loser compared to others but that's ok I guess. I only have 70 more pounds to go!! Can't wait!!

Sorry it's taken me so long to start this challenge, I've been going through a lot.

This challenge will run from February 3, 2017 through March 24, 2017. This will give us a total of 8 weigh ins. I will do my best to post to the spreadsheet within 1 - 2 day of receiving your weight but I am working two jobs and taking 5 classes so if it takes me a few extra days I am sorry but I WILL have it updated as soon as possible!! Please note that I will recalculate the figures as soon as I can following the Friday weigh in - so your weight percentages may be a little off...

I have made these Friday weigh ins because that will allow us to start as soon as possible. You may post your weight at anytime during the week if Friday is not your weigh in day!

This challenge is for everyone. If you are pre op, post op, in maintenance or looking for some accountability; this challenge is for you! The rules and link to the spreadsheet are below!

Procedures:
Please Post Your Starting Weight (Weight on or around 11/14) and your Goal Weight (what you would like to weigh at the end of the challenge) at the start of the challenge on February 3, 2017.

You can cut/paste this below and fill it in on your post -

Current Weight:
Today's Date:

Rules:
1. I will be awarding a prize to 2 lucky participants! The winners will be selected at random an the only thing you need to do to be eligible for the drawing is log your weight each week!
2.Post your weight on this thread every Friday. Specifically 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24
3. If you change your screen name please let me know.
4. If you miss 2 or more weigh ins, I will assume you no longer want to participate and your name will be removed from the spreadsheet.
5. If you miss a weigh in on Friday, no problem. Just post it asap.
6. We are all here to support each other, if you post a question anyone can answer.

7. You will know your weight is updated on the spreadsheet once I've liked your post!

The link to the spreadsheet is below! Have fun, and good luck with this challenge!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
