Hello There,

Safer than bypass, keep your nutrients, stomach hunger juices have mostly been cut away, smaller stomach. A tool to eat well, and lose weight without the hunger all the time. You still have to not overeat because you can stretch your stomach again. No cutting of the outside of your stomach they do it endoscopicly (sp?) Mine is Jan. 31 next week. I am anxious but want to get it done and start my journey. I have lost 2 lbs on my own and 8 pound on the liquid diet since Jan. 18. I wrote much more but got bumped off my computer but wanted to answer you. Keep reading here on this site and you hear all different stories. Best Wishes!

The only cons I see:

1) few people experience leaking, but surgeons check for that before you leave the hospital.

2) you lose weight so fast you can be left with extra sagging skin.

I haven't had the surgery yet (pending a date in Mexico) but I think the pros greatly outweigh the cons!
