Like a pint of vodka & coke? Lovin the swallys/swallies.....Bigsis x

ps Are swallys in the Protein group?

I prefer cider and whiskey but not in the same glass.lol

I kid myself on that my swally is full of protein and if i drink it after eight at night the does not count.

But in reality its full off sugars .But i dont eat crisps, bread, biscuits, chocolate ,pasta ,cakes ,chips all the things i used to eat.

So thats my treat and a little bit of what you fancy does you good.xx

Hi guys,

Well I was banded last Wed 12th August.

Took those lovely stockings off today and my legs can finally breathe!!!

Really trying to get the 2 litres of Water in to me, and managing 1.5 litres along with Actimel for Breakfast, fresh home made fruit juice at lunch and bowl of home made Soup for dinner.< /p>

Feeling really weak today and falling asleep at 6pm.....

Just back from Tesco and bought some Condensed Milk. Had 4 teaspoons and great sugar kick. Also had about 4 of my daughter's 'Skips', as they dissolve on the tongue.

I'm taking dissolvable Multi Vitamins too.

Roll on Saturday, so I can start the mushies...

Just a quick suggestion for those who are using a low carb diet and are out and about and need something quick and easy. Have you tried the TESCO CARB Control milk shake type drinks they come ready made in strawberry or chocolate cost just under £1. The net carb is only 1.5g, and for those who count calories its 170, they keep me satisfied all day, and are great for liquid days and to carry in your bag in an emergency, but make sure its the carb control one you pick up (its written all over the package) and not the tescos light shake, which is high carb like slimfast. They taste ok only, but you wont look for any other food for ages.

Well, I'm off on "holiday" tomorrow. Why the quotes I hear you ask? Try this for a break from the office: there will be Mother in Law (84), Father in Law (90), Hubby and two daughters, Brother in law, wife and three children, Brother in law, wife and two children, Sister in law, husband, three children, dogs and headlice! Deep joy!! The daughters in law are expected to share the cooking, which means sharing an unfamiliar kitchen feeding dozens of hungry mouths, finding ingredients in an unfamiliar supermarket and no choice of meal or portions. We've done it every year, though I often spend a great deal of time walking - as far away as possible! Until 2007 we took Gran with us too, she was born in 1899!!This year we have a farmhouse in South Wales. BUT, it gets me away from my own sister and her attitude for a few days!!

So, be good whilst I'm away and I look forward to catching up with all the news next weekend, when I shall only be one week away from banding

Hi SP - you paying for this 'torture' too?! Well at least your banding trip will seem like a proper holiday at the side of it then? Good luck and drop in when you get back (if you feel recovered enough!) Take care, Bigsis x

ps A 'treatment' may be recommended before going to Belgium - they may be a bit (nit) picky about headlice!

Thanks BigSis, yes, we contribute towards the cost of the week, though M+F-i-L pick up the majority of the tab. Hubby is driving them there in their car, elder daughter is taking her own car so I get the luxury of my little two seater with my own choice of music whilst pootling the length of the M4!

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Don't worry about the uninvited guests, sister in law enjoys spending her evenings grooming them from her little darlings. I retreat to my bed with a good book!

Have a lovely holiday parrot, well as lovely as possible. At least you can eat what you like atm, so thats a bonus lol.

I know Corned beef is not everyones cup of tea, but i love it. We always used to make Spag Bol, chillie and lasanga with it as I never buy mince, I hate what they put in it, so as i dont know whats in c. beef I can eat it till the cows come home.

I sent for a meat mincer from Ebay which should be here next week, thought I'll mince my own meat, that way I know whats going in it. I used to have a mincer years ago when the kids were little and I used to bake a lot, but dont know what happened to it.

My fella used to be a store manager for safeways and the amount of fat they put in with the meat to make mince is appalling, hence why we never buy it from anywhere.

Hi singing parrot, hope you have a fab time here in South Wales, if you want to let me know what part of Wales, nearest town, I'll probably be able to give you a good escape plan and let you know of some interesting things to do, have fun hope the sun will shine for you.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
