Thanx Homecare, we had an awesome time, everything worked out perfectly from hotels to flights. We booked everything independently.

We did 10 flights in 3 weeks, but handled them pretty well, saw a lot of places including the street I used to live on in Singapore when I was a little girl, which was pretty upsetting cos my dad passed away when I was 21, and my Mum is now 94 and has a lot of things wrong with her.

but so glad i got to go back to my roots so to speak.

Weighed today and have lost a kilo, which must have been Water from the 13 hour flight from Hong Kong, so have only put on 4.4lbs up to this morning, hopefully more will come off by next week, if not I will go for a fill.

It usually depends on where your getting your fill. WLS usually visit different cities once a month so if theyre in your town next week for instance then you will probably get one. Hope this helps. Jx

Hiya Sweet Addiction,

I am a little further than you along the road as I was banded on the 11th Sept. My mum also paid for half the cost of my band ( bless her), but I intend paying her back the money in March, when I get my bonus.

Being 6 weeks out and waiting for the fill is hard, as up to this stage you have no restriction. However, I want to warn you that you normally don't find you have much restriction until the 3rd/4th fill that you really notice, so don't get disheartened, as you will find that you will probably still loose weight but it will be slow. If the doctors find that you are loosing weight too fast, they will not fill you up as much, so take that in to consideration. The other thing to think about is, if it is slower, then you skin has more chance of going back nicely and it will prevent too much excess skin.

Take care

Katy

Sweet dont despair hunny, the winds of change keep blowing, everything happens for a reason.

I'm sure something even better is waiting for you, just try to muddle through this bad time.

You still have your band, things will get better.

Hi Sweet -addiction,

I am so sorry for you, but Freckles is right, sometimes things happen and although it is really hard at the time, you will find that as one door closes another door will eventually open.

Maybe you can ask everyone to give you money for your Christmas and then use this to have a fill.

Keep your chin up Hun!

Katy

Thanx Maggs and Carrie xxxx

I've been dying to post these 2, they were taken on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Oz.

Me and my youngest daughter ( who, incidently has now left Oz and is in Malaysia, they fly to Thailand on Sunday where they are staying in the beach resort of Samui and then will be home in January)

It was a chocolate cafe, where everything was chocolate, you could even get chocolate pizza but didnt fancy that, and just got the dipping thing...mmm it was gorgeous.

banana bread, marshmallows and strawberries, look at the size of those strawberries! Not like the piddling little things we get here .....no wonder I put weight on eh lol.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
