Hi homecare ye shes noticed a big difference but then it didn't bother her when i was so big.

Loosing all this weight has even gave me the confidence to set a date for our wedding last week which i would have never done when i was a my heaviest. So she is delighted.

Plus i even fitted in to her size 14 skinny legged jeans the other day.Not that i was wearing them out just testing for size .lol

Cheers tin and carriejess.

Well done tin your going in the right direction hopefully you will get restriction and it will be a bit easier. When i started on this site it was hearing other people success stories that gave me the inspiration that it can be done.So i hope it does give others at the start of there journey some encouragement that the weight will come off .I have struggled some months and lost my way a bit but you just have to get back on track and get on with it.

Hi Bobo - what I want to know is who will be shopping for/wearing the wedding dress? Or is there gonna be 2? Bigsis x

ps You are so regretting sharing that info now aren't you?!

So made up for all you losers, brilliant!!!

Its a week now since i had my de-fill, at least I can sleep laying down now, which is heaven.

I am eating more but not a great deal. havent lost anymore, but then didnt expect to. As long as I stay the same I will be happy.

Maggs, any sign of Sian's new baby yet??

Carrie you are so lucky to be able to do your own fills, be careful babe you dont get run down if its too tight.

Garry nice to see you.

Hi all, interesting talk you all have. Nice to see such support. I am looking to have the band with CDB and I have a few questions if I may?

I am in UK but normally live in India, so how important is the after care in the respect of 6 months after surgery?

How often and for how long after do you need fills?

That's a starter for 10!!!

Many thanks

JB

Hi jersey bean the after care is relay important the band is not filled at the operation so you need to go on a monthly basis to get your band filled. The first fill is done from week four after surgery usually week six and every month after that till you have proper restriction.

Some people can get restriction after a few fills but not all i had about six or seven before i got any sort of restriction.Hope this helps any other questions just ask we have all been in your position.

Hi JB

Welcome! Have you looked into how easy it is to get fills in India? If you travel long distance alot they normally advise you to have some Fluid taken out of your band prior to flying so you will definately need easy access to someone who can do your fills.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
