It is so normal to second guess yourself and have doubts. I could relate to wondering what the heck I was doing as they wheeled me into surgery! I've had a few thoughts like that since. But overall, the good far outweighs the bad, especially when the weight comes off and you feel lighter and more energetic.

I am 6 weeks post sleeve and things are great. All incisions healed to the point I don't worry about them, and able to eat and drink pretty well, just a lot less and have to go slow. If you listen to your new sleeve, it will tell you what to do and what you can handle.

Oh, and have not thrown up once. Stopped taking Omeprazol after 4 weeks and no heartburn.

Sorry I'm talking so much about me. I wish you a successful surgery and a great new life! You got this!

The complication rate is actually quite low. I had zero complications and reached my gw within 6 months of surgery. Most people are fine, althogh it's normal to be worried before major surgery!

I'm turning 63 next week and was sleeved 5 1/2 months ago. I've never thrown up once, not even nauseous. I'd say it's been surprisingly easy once you pass the three week mark. I treated the whole thing that it was my job to get Protein and fluids in, follow the plan. Stop intake when I felt full and ate very slowly.

I also did my research, selected a good surgeon and a center of excellence hospital.

I have no complications and no regrets

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
