Tripler Army Medical Center

Hello all. I go to my 3 1/2 hour meeting with general surgery on friday and was wondering if any of you can tell me what to expect. I was told after the meeting we will schedule a surgery date but I was wondering if there is any other meetings between this upcoming meeting and the surgery?

Thank you!

After my initial meeting with the surgeon I had to get blood work done, Gall Bladder ultrasound, EKG, Upper Endoscopy, a chest x-ray, talk to a head shrinker, get my PCP to sign off on the surgery and get documentation together to send to the insurance company stating that I was in a six month medically supervised weight loss program. Luckily, I was in the VA telemove program so the six month documentation was easy to get.
