I had surgery on 11/29/16. On Friday I was carrying a slightly heavy box in to my daughter's dance studio and later began to feel a sharp/ stabbing pain at my incison site. I didn't have any other symptoms and so far have not felt any bulges, been naseous, constipation, etc. but the pain is getting a little worse. I left my dr a message but it could take 24-48 hours to get back to me. Has anyone here experienced anything like this before?

I will get discomfort if I lift something such as Water cases that weigh almost thirty pounds. The discomfort is on my left side . I'm 5 months post op. Rny. Your probably just fine but are right to check with your Dr.

I had mini gastric bypass surgery. On October 10th and my surgeon instructed me not to lift anything heavy for six months.

Thanks for the responses guys! I was about to go to Urgent Care when my doctor called and said if there were no other symptoms but the pain then I probably just irritated some nerves in the area!
