It's been one year today since I had my sleeve done. My life has changed in every aspect.

My start weight was 333.1lbs

My weight this morning was 137.8lbs

That's a total loss of 195.3lbs!!

I've also lost a total of 95 inches...I'm a size 6 now...used to be a size 30.

I have accomplished this by being very focused and strict with my eating and exercise.

I eat very low carb, and always get in my Protein, Vitamins and Water every day.

For all of you just starting out, just know that anything is possible, and if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything!!attachicon.gif ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1484247025.506927.jpgattachicon.gif ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1484247046.704277.jpg

You look amazing! How many carbs/protein/calories did you stick to? I'm 5 months post VSG and including my pre-op diet I've lost 73 lbs but I have about 65 left to go .. I want to reach my goal too by my 1 year in August! Your my inspiration and any tips are appreciated

Hi! I've never counted calories, but try not to eat too high fat foods. My carbs are below 20g, always have at least 70g of Protein each day.

I exercise a lot, around 5-6 days a week. I do a variety of exercises, which I find has helped. Hot yoga, spin classes, step classes, cardio machines...I find changing it up keeps me motivated.

But you have done so well also!! Congrats on your weight loss!!

Did you do cosmetic surgery for the extra skin. You do look really nice.

No, unfortunately I can't afford plastic surgery. All I can say is everything between my upper thighs to my waist is a hot mess of hanging skin. It does bother me, but there's nothing I can do about it.

But that's what good undergarments are for!

I just have to say I hope my results are as great as yours are, I have three more classes and I will be on top of my insurance like glue to keep them moving me along. I still can't get over how nice you look, it always seems like I'll never get there. But I'm damn sure gonna try !

Thank you. I've never counted calories, but eat less than 20g of carbs per day, and at least 70g of Protein and drink around 100oz of Water.

I eat very boring actually, a lot of chicken and fish.

I have a Protein shake every morning, 4oz of Protein at lunch and supper, then another form of protein in the evening, usually a Protein Bar. I don't do any other snacking.

You'll get there!! Trust me, when I was in your shoes before I had surgery, and saw people's before and after pics, I never dreamed I would ever get to this weight...I didn't even think it was possible.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
