New Comer in need of Advice

Hi, I'm looking into band surgery with Dr. Kirshenbaum of Denver, CO in January. Does anyone have any advice on the best way of dealing with an out-of-state physician? How about travel restrictions and follow-up appts.?

I'm also scheduled for a da vinci (robotic) hysterectomy in November and they're taking everything. Has anyone had the band placed post hysto? Should I have any reason for serious concern?
