Hi guys! I was sleeved on 12/23. In the day of my surgery I was 419.6. A couple days ago I weighed in at 403.8-- an almost 16lb loss! But I weighed tonight and the scale said 407. For some reason, this is panicking me. I see my doctor tomorrow and I don't want to let him down. I keep thinking, "Did I already mess this up?" But I'm following his directions as best I can! Any advice?

(I did weigh in the evening instead of morning. And this was my first day back to work, which was very stressful, so maybe that affects weight? I dunno.)

Don't drive yourself crazy weighing too much. Have someone hide your scale if you have to!

I'm doing it once a week. I'm dying to know what I'm at but I won't step on that scale until Saturday.

Totally understand that rollercoaster of ups & downs and I refuse to ride it this time.

I thinking being less than two weeks post-op isn't going to give you any accuracy of how much you'll have dropped by the end of January and beyond. As long as you are following directions exactly, you're doing fine.

I am always 2-3 pounds heavier in the evening than I am in the morning.

Weight fluctuates for lots of reasons. You'll see it when you weigh daily and several times a day. The best way to avoid the anxiety it causes is to weight less, like maybe once a week or even once a month.

It's impossible to not lose weight the first six months or so. The sheer caloric deficit insures weight loss until your body 'adjusts'. Just follow your program and you'll be happy with your results. I promise.

Thank you! I know, I broke one of my own rules. I need to stick to my one day and time!

Definitely. I'm an anxious person, so I keep thinking, "Did I sip too much? Should I not have this? Blah blah blah."

Seeing my doc today, so I'll ask him about these worries.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
