My list was all sugar-free stuff. Jell-O, chicken noodle & veggie Soups (strained), Crystal Light, decaf teas & coffee. My surgeon calls for one week of clear liquids post-op.

Today was my day 1 of full liquids. The clear liquid diet (in combination with have an organ removed, lol!) really sucked the life out of me; not having Protein, IMO, made me exhausted.

The only thing I've done out of line with doctor's orders was to have 1 oz of freshly squeezed OJ from the tree in my yard. That teeny bit of sugar + Vitamin C + potassium made all the difference in the world! HOWEVER, that was my treat on Christmas day - my body was aching for fresh OJ. I've not had any since.

I am drinking 4oz every hour (1oz every 15 minutes)from 8:00-11:00pm. My list is alternating between Water, Protein, broth, Gelatin, crystal light, low sodium v8,and 100% fruit juice (1/2 juice1/2 water)I have 5 serving of protein on my list.
