Dr. Fitzer did my Gastric Bypass in 7/27....He Is Amazing, and his staff is wonderful. I wish I could’ve taken Roz home with me.

I know this thread is sort of old but it looks like some of you are still active here. I’ve had my consult With Dr Fitzer and first meeting with the dietician Jessica. Slowly going through the process. Your posts have been informative and encouraging. How are you all doing now that you a year or two post op?

Hi KelliG2020. I just had my one year anniversary and couldn't be more satisfied. I was only aiming for a final weight of 140 and now weigh 120. Jessica actually wants me to start eating a bit more! That's the first time in my life anyone had told me that...😄

I can't say enough good things about Dr Fitzer and his team. They've changed my life.

Good luck to you with your own journey, keep us posted!

Hey everyone! I know it’s a very old thread but seems like some of y’all are still active on here. I’m a 23 year old I had the bypass with Dr. Fitzer he and his team are AMAZING!! My surgery weight was 248lb, I am now 220lb I am 5 weeks post op. I had no complications and am doing pretty well! My only concern I’m having right now is a stall. I’ve been 220 for two weeks & half week now 🥺🥺 anyone of y’all went through a stall? If so how to break it.

Stalls are discouraging, but almost everyone here has had them, some of us several! Just trust the process, stick with your plan, and the scale WILL start moving again, I promise!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
