Starting Pouch Reset - Accountability Partners?

Recommended Posts

On a Happy note, I went about 6 hours without eating yesterday - busy with Christmas shopping. And whenI did eat, I felt the restriction again! I was so glad to feel it again and to know I have the power to get it back!

I am starting today! It's sad to me that I still have to have the same resolution I have had every year for the last 20 years. But I am grateful to have a way to reset this tool to help me. I feel hopeful because I'm not on my own. I went to the grocery store last night and got everything I need and eliminated everything I don't. Good luck to us all!!!

How is everyone doing with your reset?? Boy it's hard isn't it? I'm dying for carbs!

I do feel better already though. I was eating just terrible throughout the holiday season and was feeling really gross. So I'm excited and hopeful to get back on track and lose this regain.

I recently reset (2weeks ago) and I'm amazed!! I feel newly sleeved. All my restriction is back and no more cravings!! It's soooo worth it!!

Thanks so much for posting that. I've been doing the reset and it's so hard. But I feel the restriction too so I know it's worth it. :)

Thanks for the encouragement!

The reset, to me at least, was more of a detox. Sometimes we stray and eat things we shouldn't and feel less restriction and/or more hungry. The reset detoxes the sugar out of your system and gives your tummy a break, sort of letting you feel that really fill feeling we all had in the very beginning

If you have a sleeve not a pouch, don't do that liquid pouch reset, it is useless.

Eat 3-4 ounces of dense Protein only for a few days, so you can feel and utilize your restriction.

RNY people need the pouch reset because their pouches stretch. Sleeves don't stretch, people eat sliders and claim to have lost restriction when in reality it is entirely based on their diet.

I love this!! I needed to read this today! I haven't been on here in a while!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
