So I was healthy before surgery other than obesity, anxiety and asthma. I had surgery November 21st with the Army's best bariatric team. My pain was terrible and hard to control after surgery. I even went back in a week after in so much pai n. After we got that under control everything was great. When I started purees everything changed. I could not hold my food down.
The pain was so bad. They did a ct scan and found nothing.
It kept getting worse. Sunday I puked my dinner up and everything else too. I kept puking all night. Monday morning I was woken by excruciating pain. I couldnt lat down, sit up or anything. I kept puking until I dry heaved and the pain made me want to puke more.
I went to er that Monday morning and was admitted. They did a barium swallow, xrays, ekg and egd. They found I had reflux... now they have no answers other than carafate and phenergan. No fix.
I threw my carafate and phenergan up today so Im back in the er.
Anyone else deal with this? Since I already have the RNY they dont have answers.
