I'm now 6 weeks out, s/p Bypass. I vomit on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times a day. It doesn't matter what I eat or drink. Sometimes it will stay down and other times it won't, even water. I'm really tired. Can't even stand up in the shower by myself anymore. I don't even have the urge to drink or eat most days. I've had to go in for IV infusions just to keep hydrated. My doctor doesn't seem too concerned. He just keeps giving me more and more meds to try and take and most of the time can't hold them down. Since my surgery, I haven't been able to hold down any PROTEIN shakes. I drink maybe about 6-8 oz of fluid generally in a day. Some days I eat nothing and other days I may be able to have a bite of applesauce or 2 bites of an egg. Will this get better soon? Anyone else go through this?
