Looking for scale suggestions

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for something that's close to being consistently accurate. I've bought scales in the past that you can can get three very different reading. I'm not looking for Fancy just accurate to help continue journey. I'm getting sleeved in Wednesday.

I have the same one. $14 at costco, and it's always been accurate.

I struggle too. The floor in our bathroom is small square tiles and it must not be level because depending on the location I get a different reading.

Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

I have two scales because I am a nutjob. When I get on a scale and it gives me a low number, I need to verify that it's not broken. :/ Anyway. I have a tanita bodyfat scale and I have a Withings wifi scale that I LOOOVVEE. Because I get on it and it feeds my numbers to the Withings app and also to MyFitnessPal. I love reports and I get those GALORE.

There is also the Withings Pulse, which is an activity tracker. That tracks your steps and your heartbeat and your sleep and all that. I had one but I lost it, dangit.

Fitbit has a wifi scale that is a smidge cheaper than withings that connects with your fitibt.

I have the weight guru scale from bed bath and beyond. I specifically searched for a Bluetooth scale because I thought it was awesome to link to my phone and Fitbit. Sounds very obsessive haha I had uninstall the app for my scale a few times BUT still a great investment for 36.00!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
