Heartburn! Band too tight?

Recommended Posts

For the past few weeks, I have started having more and more heartburn and acid reflux. I have not had a fill since May 2016. I am still losing weight, able to eat soft foods, just incredible heartburn! But during the past week, I cannot seem to tolerate soft or solid foods, just puree and liquids. Is it possible my band is too tight? You would think after not having it filled since May that it would naturally relax some? Does stress have any influence on the acid reflux, heartburn and constant feeling of being full?

The activity of a band can change at any time. Your band may or may not be the cause of your heartburn. It may be a contributing factor or not. The possibilities are nearly endless. If I were you describing what you're experiencing, I'd make an appt with my surgery practice and not bother with speculating. It may well be that taking a very small amount of Fluid out will solve the problem.

Also be sure not to lie down for at least a few hours after eating.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
