Breakfast anyone?

Recommended Posts

I got to add cottage cheese in last Sunday, and at Loopylulu's suggestion, I added in 1 tablespoon of sugar free strawberry preserves. It is awesome. I have that first thing in the morning now.

I get to add in scrambled eggs today (yay!). I went ahead and had the cottage cheese first thing this morning since my partner is still sleeping and I want us to actually be able to eat the same thing at the same time for the first time in a while.

So, scrambled eggs will be lunch!

No idea. I try to choke down a shake, then skip to my mid morning string cheese. I have half a cup of unsweetened applesauce each morning to take meds.

I'm looking forward to high Fiber Cereal. Never craved raisin bran like this!!!

This time of year my favorite sugar cereal is out : Count Chocula ( followed by Boo berry and Frankenberry respectively) since I'm not physically hungry, resisting is easier. However it won't cross into my house. That would be too tempting at the moment

For ME, cereal and milk was always a favorite. I was a multi-grain cheerios kind of girl and like more milk than cereal.

I can't eat it now. Eating and then drinking makes me immediately urp and cereal and milk feels much like the same as do broth based Soups.

I'm a bit farther out than this conversation, but I do have a stricture so while I can eat normal foods, they often get stuck so I prefer to eat soft and mushy to this day. Refried Beans and cheese is a great Breakfast, especially with a bit of sour cream. Served with a soft scrambled egg and hot sauce? Heaven.

I don't feel the need to eat traditional meals at traditional times, so I often eat the insides of a pot pie, crustless quiche, seafood salad, cheese sticks, spam (gross but true!), meatball with mozzarella... Lots of great choices.

You'll get there. :)

Ohhh crustless quiche. Yum. I know you can make them in a muffin tin - Breakfast for a few days! (My husband would probably eat 2) but I see endless possibilities! I had corn beef hash last weekend, only 2 bites but it was pretty good.

I have been making crustless quiche way before the sleeve. Hot or cold it is an excellent snack or meal to keep in the fridge. Fresh crabmeat quiche is a favorite.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
