My sleeve was 10/18. It's so great to be on the other side. It's going so much better than I expected. Stay ahead of pain, gas, nausea. Walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip.

Good luck. I have lost about 10 - 12 but I had the liquid diet for about 2 weeks. It's been a rough 2 weeks but I made it till now so that's good. My surgery is at 1pm. Hope urs goes well too.

Oh I feel just like all of you...a mess of emotions, lol. My surgery is Nov 7th. I joined the FB group for Oct/Nov surgeries so hopefully we can all talk & share more there.

Surgery went well. I was in alot of pain last night after surgery but am feeling much better today. Ive been up walking around all night and morning. It does help with the gas pain in the chest and back. It is a little uncomfortable to eat or drink anything but they said that that would get better.

Still recovering. My incisions are a little sore. I still feel like my stomach is foreign to me but it's getting better. It is hard to tell myself to eat something cuz I genuinely don't feel hungry. But I'm working on it. I'm set to return to work on the 7th s f I'm trying hard to work out all the kinks of this new life before I get back to work.

It is little weird cuz my stomach doesn't feel hungry but like last night when my husband and kids ate pizza it smelled good and i did want some even tho I wasn't hungry. I mean i didn't obviously but it just goes to show that some of this is mental as well and u don't get the instant satisfaction u got when u ate anymore.

Thanks for the update Marionb88. It really helps to hear honest struggles after surgery. Mine is scheduled for Nov 7th so I'll be right there with ya soon enough. Hope you have a quick recovery and work out all the kinks :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
