PreSurgery Supervised Weight Loss

I am currently within the BMI that my insurance requires to cover my VSG surgery. One caveat is three months of physician supervised diet/exercise.

My question is if I were to drop one or two BMI points below the requirement during this 3 months, will my insurance no longer cover the surgery?

I too am concerned with this and cannot get a straight answer from the insurance company. So ask the surgeon and ask the insurance.

I lost 100 pounds in my six-month pre-op diet, and fell to just right at a 40 BMI on the day of surgery, and every thing went through just fine.

Most insurance 40 bmi with no comorbids is what they require. I'm at 42.6 with no comorbids. trying to lose a pound a month lol
